Despite strong objections - including those from Wirral Council - one site, in particular, has annoyed local residents by being proposed to go forward to the next stage. You can read more about this from one of the few local councillors who keeps us informed!

I don't know whether it's more "Politically Correct" to use the term 'Landfill' but, whatever you call it, it's a rubbish tip. A dumping ground for non-recyclable rubbish complete with rats, flies, non-biodegradable rain-sodden junk, smells, litter & seagulls and with all the potential for being a wind-borne health hazard as well.

According to research commissioned for the
Offshore windfarm (people who should know about
wind direction!), the predominant wind in this area is SW to W so the area shown on this
Google Map is likely to be adversely affected
most of the time.
